Job Summary
Infection Control Nurse position at Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing. Responsible for evaluating the quality of resident care and outcomes related to Healthcare Acquired Infections (HAI) and Community Acquired Infections (CAI); collecting, preparing, analyzing HAI data; presenting infection data and recommending actions; monitoring compliance with infection control standards via barriers and prevention measures; providing education to staff, residents, and families; serving as a resource to departments; and acting as on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response. Requires nursing degree (ADN/BSN), active nursing license, CPR certification, long-term care experience, and relevant infection control certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a nursing diploma (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing).
- Must be currently licensed/registered in applicable State. Must maintain an active nursing license in good standing throughout employment.
- Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
- Prior experience in Long Term Care is required.
- Must have applicable certifications or training per State requirements (e.g., Certified TB Nurse, Infection Preventionist Certificiate).
