Job Summary
Infection Control Manager responsible for designing and overseeing the facility's infection prevention and control program, including surveillance, reporting, and investigation of infections; ensures standard and transmission-based precautions, coordinates with leadership and the Hospital Infection Control Committee; supports department with employee health initiatives, immunization campaigns, and annual TB and OSHA-related activities; develops and audits infection control policies, conducts education, and provides data analysis and reporting to leadership; collaborates with clinicians and QA/QI teams to improve patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse, Medical Technologist or degree in microbiology, public health or hospital epidemiology required
- Certification in Infection Control (APIC or CIC) required
- 2 years Infection control experience required
- If not certified, actively pursue certification within 2 years of hire
- Continuing education requirement: minimum 12 hours annually
