Job Summary
Monitor, control, and reduce nosocomial infections by conducting educational programs for nursing staff and reviewing orientation classes on hospital policies. Serve as a principal member of the Infection Control Committee, coordinating policy implementation and evaluating effectiveness through data analysis and environmental rounds. Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to assess suspected infections, implement isolation measures, and investigate cross-infection risks between patients and employees. Disseminate new infection control information, analyze surveillance data to institute remedial measures, and assist in reporting communicable diseases to health authorities. Translate committee decisions into actionable guidelines for hospital personnel while supporting the center's strategic plan and performance improvement goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care related field
- Minimum 3 years acute care experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish/Chinese/Vietnamese)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CIC Certification preferred
