Job Summary
Infection Control Nurse (LPN) at Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron, MO. Full-time, Day shift 8:00am–4:30pm with rotating weekends. Responsible for prevention and control of infectious diseases; coordinates data collection, interpretation, and reporting; assists in developing care plans for patients with infectious diseases; serves as a consultant to nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking, and reporting of patients with infectious disease. Missouri or Compact Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required; IV certification; Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred. 1–3 years’ nursing experience in public health, long-term care, or acute care with focus on infection prevention and control. Must show TB screening documentation and active CPR and BLS certification. Experience working with a high degree of autonomy required; correctional environment experience preferred. Ability to obtain a security clearance including drug screen and criminal background check.
Required Qualifications
- Missouri or Compact LPN license
- IV certification
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
- 1 to 3 years’ nursing experience in public health, long term care or acute care with focus on infection prevention and control
- TB screening documentation
- active CPR and BLS certification
- ability to obtain security clearance (drug screen and background check)
