Job Summary
Infants and Toddlers Teacher responsible for creating a developmentally appropriate learning environment using CAC's Creative Curriculum, supporting home language and family involvement, and conducting two home visits and two parent conferences annually. The role includes observing and tracking child development, planning age-appropriate activities, promoting parent participation, ensuring health and safety procedures, and coordinating classroom communications and emergency information. The position requires strong instructional strategies for ages 0-24 months, proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams, valid driver's license, and the ability to supervise up to 20 individuals in a safe environment.
Required Qualifications
- Infants and Toddlers CDA (Child Development Associate) or Associates or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with specific training in Infants and Toddlers and Preschool Curriculum
- Demonstrated knowledge of classroom management, lesson planning, and age-appropriate instructional strategies targeted at children ages 0-24 months
- 1+ years of experience in an educational program with children ages 0-24 months
- Strong computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle during work hours
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and speak English
- Able to maintain a safe environment for up to 20 people including ability to evacuate during disaster drills and emergencies
- Able to move quickly in order to respond to active children and ensure safety
