Job Summary
Ensure the safety, health, and development of infants and toddlers in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment by supervising children at all times and maintaining a clean, engaging classroom. Plan and implement culturally responsive curriculum aligned with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing requirements while completing developmental screenings and individualized learning plans. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and specialists to support each child's development through home visits and conferences. Provide guidance to classroom staff, maintain accurate documentation, and respond to emergencies using First Aid and CPR. Participate in case management, staff meetings, and program planning activities as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or Diploma de Educacion Secundaria or higher
- Infant Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate within 6 months from date of hire
- One year Oregon community college certificate in field within 1 year from date of hire
- Training or coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development
- Associate's degree or higher in Early childhood education or child development
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Early childhood education or child development
- Training or coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development
