Job Summary
Infant Toddler Teacher provides a safe, nurturing environment and partners with families to support social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Responsibilities include designing and implementing a reflective, developmentally appropriate curriculum in collaboration with the Director EHS-CCP Site and Infant Toddler Specialist, observing and documenting each child’s health and development, using observations to tailor instruction, and engaging families through ongoing communication and home visits. The role emphasizes culturally sensitive practice, positive discipline, data-driven planning, and adherence to Head Start/EHS-CCP guidelines and Brazelton Touchpoints guiding principles, with a focus on teamwork, confidentiality, safety, and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Florida Department of Children and Families 45-hour child care training requirement completed during the first year of employment
- CDA with a focus on Infant/Toddler or to complete it during the first year of employment
- Bilingual preferred
