Job Summary
Work as part of a teaching team to show warm, secure, affectionate relationships with each child to create a positive climate, using the HighScope curriculum to plan environments, activities, and daily routines for infants and toddlers. Observe, screen, and assess young children to support ongoing developmental progress and achievement of School Readiness Goals while establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy environment. Be an engaged partner with families and manage the classroom in adherence to all RCMA funding and DCF requirements. This role supports an experienced Teacher within RCMA's nationally recognized early education network across 18 Florida counties.
Required Qualifications
- Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) Birth – 5 years
- Infant Toddler National CDA
- Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC)
- Child Care Apprenticeship Certificate (CCAC)
- Staff Credential Verification NECC
- 9 college credits in early childhood education and 3 months of experience in the field (480 hours) in teaching infant and toddler age children
- Preschool National CDA (must obtain an Infant Toddler National CDA within 260 days of accepting this position)
- current certification in Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Pediatric First Aid
- Must have an NCDA or FCCPC certificate
- successfully complete a Level 2 fingerprint-based background screening
