Job Summary
The Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher is responsible for providing effective instructional strategies, classroom management, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children ages 6 weeks-3 years old, while ensuring a supportive classroom climate and meeting children's individual needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Two Infant/Toddler courses (minimum 6 college credit hours)
- Level 4 Gateways Infant/Toddler Certification or Erikson Institute Infant/Toddler Certification
- 1-3 years in an early childhood classroom
- Must pass DCFS background check
- Must meet annual physical exam requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Experience with database and/or recordkeeping software
Additional Requirements
- Must pass DCFS background check and maintain clearance throughout employment
- Willing to work flexible hours
