Job Summary
Plan, implement, and supervise the infant/toddler program consistent with policies, philosophy, and curriculum while maintaining required documentation and NYS regulatory compliance. Gear the environment to individual children's interests, special needs, and learning pace, and teach proper health care including toileting, nutrition, and physical care. Maintain the classroom's appearance and décor, communicate daily activities and concerns to parents, and attend staff meetings and trainings. Work with infants and toddlers on the floor, lifting up to 45 pounds, in a locally owned daycare environment that supports women in the workplace.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in ECE, child development or a related field or an Infant/Toddler CDA
- At least one year of daycare experience as a teacher and/or assistant in an infant or toddler classroom
- Demonstrate knowledge of NYS child care regulations
- Must be able to get on the floor and play with infants and toddlers as well as lift up to 45 pounds
- Must be a sensitive mature person who is able to relate well to both children and adults
