Job Summary
Implement a child-centered, play-based curriculum for infants and toddlers in an Early Head Start classroom, fostering social-emotional growth and school readiness. Observe children daily to assess developmental progress, individualize learning experiences, and maintain accurate documentation using approved systems. Collaborate with co-teachers and Family Advocates to coordinate services, conduct home visits, and partner with families to ensure consistency between home and school. Establish a safe, inclusive environment while managing routines, health checks, and meal times.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with Birth to 2nd NYS Certification (Initial or Professional)
- Successful completion of all required background clearances and medical examinations
- Ability to travel locally, as needed, for meetings, training, and program-related activities (up to 10%)
