Job Summary
Infant Lead Teachers will build strong bonds with infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months, fostering trust and supporting development in a safe, nurturing environment. They will support physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs, demonstrate effective leadership within the classroom team, and maintain positive communication with children, families, colleagues, and the community. Responsibilities include classroom management to create a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment, and ensuring health, welfare, and safety of the children. Candidates should have 2–4 years of relevant experience and credentials such as MSDE 90hr Infant/Toddler Certification or CDA Infant/Toddler Endorsement, with strong understanding of child development, MSDE regulations, reliability in attendance, and strong organizational and collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- MSDE 90hr Infant/Toddler Certification or CDA Certification with Infant/Toddler Endorsement
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and instructional strategies
- Strong knowledge of MSDE regulations
- Background check (state and federal) required as a contingency of employment
- GSA-security clearance for federal center campuses (where applicable)
