Job Summary
Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months. Implement age-appropriate curriculum and developmental activities aligned with early childhood education standards. Monitor and document each infant's daily progress, milestones, and developmental needs while maintaining consistent feeding, sleeping, and diapering schedules. Ensure classroom cleanliness, safety, and compliance with state childcare licensing regulations. Communicate openly and regularly with parents regarding their child's daily activities and growth. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to foster a positive, team-oriented classroom environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early education setting
- Knowledge of infant developmental milestones and age-appropriate learning activities
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to meet Illinois DCFS childcare licensing requirements
- Warm, patient, and compassionate demeanor with a genuine love for working with babies
- Strong communication skills with parents, guardians, and team members
Desired Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
