Job Summary
Lead an infant classroom in a safe, nurturing, and organized environment; support infants’ developmental milestones through sensory play and guided interaction; maintain individualized routines including feeding, diapering, naps, and transitions; supervise and support assistant teachers to maintain classroom consistency and ratios; communicate daily with families regarding routines, milestones, and classroom updates; maintain a clean, organized classroom; ensure full compliance with Maryland childcare licensing and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Maryland Infant/Toddler Teacher qualification (45-hour certification)
- High school diploma or higher required
- Experience working in an infant classroom preferred
- Understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Must meet Maryland childcare licensing and background requirements
