Job Summary
Assist Lead Teacher in delivering nurturing, safe, and educational experiences for infants, toddlers, or preschool-age children; support daily routines (circle time, story time, snack, outdoor play, rest); help with lesson planning and curriculum implementation; supervise transitions and activities; maintain a safe, clean classroom aligned with licensing regulations; document children’s milestones and collaborate with staff and families to support development; requires a high school diploma or GED, with CDA or ECE coursework preferred; role emphasizes teamwork, child development, and play-based learning.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- CDA or enrollment in Early Childhood Education courses (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience in child care, preschool, daycare, or toddler education (preferred)
- Understanding of child development principles and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
- Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
