Infant Teacher (JT)

Job Summary
Organize daily activities using a carefully constructed curriculum to stimulate infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months. Develop creative lesson plans employing storytelling, sensorial play, and musical stimulation to engage babies and foster social competencies. Conduct developmental screenings and ongoing assessments to monitor motor, language, cognitive, social, and emotional skills. Execute teacher-directed engagement and age-appropriate hygiene and feeding techniques while maintaining a clean, safe classroom. Recognize and respond to verbal and non-verbal communication signs, communicate progress to parents, and understand all emergency procedures. Work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a preference for CDA certification and DCF 45 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience working with infants
- Knowledgeable in child development
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient, friendly, reliable and able to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Level II Background Screening
- Residency outside Florida within the past five years (if applicable)
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of best infant practices and infant educational methods
- Knowledge of Florida's Department of Children and Families Child Care Statutes and Administrative Code
- DCF 45 hours
- Credentialed with a Child Development Associate (CDA), or Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood field of study
- Special training in Early Childhood Education or the equivalent
