Infant Teacher

Job Summary
The Infant Teacher will implement classroom activities, promote positive interactions, and maintain family-style eating with children. Responsibilities include record-keeping for attendance and assessments, supervising Teacher Assistants, ensuring health and safety, and engaging in cleaning duties. Must have a CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education, be at least 21 years old, and possess a valid EEC Teacher Certification with prior experience with toddlers. Additional qualifications include effective communication skills and attendance at required trainings.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- CDA or AA in ECE or a related field
- Three months supervised work experience with toddlers
- Valid EEC Teacher Certification
- Ability to read, write, and express oneself in English
- Show documented proof of current physical exam, negative TB test and proof of MMR immunity
- Must have a suitable CORI, SORI & DCF background check on file prior to employment
- Must have a suitable fingerprint check completed within the first thirty (30) days of employment
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of backgrounds, identities, cultures, nationalities, and languages
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with CLASS is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable
- CPR and First Aid certificate preferred or ability to maintain CPR/ FA within 30 days of hire
Additional Requirements
- Attendance at relevant trainings, meetings, Open House/Family Nights and special events required
- Some flexibility with hours according to program needs required
