Job Summary
Conduct infant care and supervision throughout the day, including feeding, sleeping, and diapering according to individual schedules and CACFP guidelines. Inspect children for illness upon arrival, monitor play areas, and maintain strict hygiene protocols with hand washing and germ box usage. Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lessons, activities, and outdoor playtime twice daily while documenting observations and assessments. Build positive relationships with parents through scheduled conferences and active encouragement of involvement, ensuring all interactions maintain confidentiality. Participate in regular team meetings, conduct incident reports for accidents, and adhere to Sunset Park Health Council and NAEYC standards under the Education Director's supervision.
Required Qualifications
- 90 credits and more with Study Plan working toward BS in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field
- Two years relevant experience
- Health and Safety Trainings
- Warm, caring and outgoing personality
- Ability to work well with others
- Able to create and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and staff
- BS in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field and working toward NYS Teacher Certifications
- Bilingual
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
