Job Summary
Lead infant teacher providing developmentally appropriate care and education for children ages 3 months to 5 years, establishing primary relationships with children and families while guiding conflict resolution and problem-solving strategies. Directly supervise and interact with children in a warm, positive manner, ensuring secure outdoor play areas and maintaining strict health, safety, and sanitation standards. Plan and implement curriculum according to Creative Curriculum guidelines, conduct DRDP assessments, and maintain child files and observation logs. Collaborate with staff to develop weekly activity plans, prepare for parent-teacher conferences, and mentor substitutes and interns. Administer medication, manage food service, and communicate daily activities to parents while supporting culturally diverse families in a safe, inclusive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California Associate Teacher permit
- Minimum one year of center based care experience
- Understands rationale and procedure for child abuse reporting as mandated by state law and the responsibility for action as a mandated reporter
- Certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid
- Personal cell phone
- Fingerprinting
- Negative Tuberculosis Test
- Pediatric CPR/1st Aid Certificate
- Ability to provide for the care and safety of children without physical or verbal, exploitation or prejudice
- Ability to communicate positively and actively develop ongoing interaction with parents in order to discuss daily activities

- Frequent repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
- Onsite 5 days a week
