Job Summary
Lead the daily operation of the Infant classroom, implementing The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum through engaging sensory experiences and responsive interactions. Foster infants' cognitive, language, physical, and social-emotional development while maintaining individualized care routines including feeding, diapering, naps, and developmental observations. Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers to ensure consistent, high-quality classroom practices and build strong partnerships with families through daily communication and developmental updates. Ensure compliance with all New York State and New York City childcare licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or High School Diploma with at least five years of relevant early childhood experience
- Must meet all applicable New York State and New York City childcare licensing requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience leading an infant classroom
- Strong knowledge of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- CPR and First Aid certification
