Job Summary
Provide coverage in infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten classrooms as needed, assisting teachers with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. Maintain active supervision of children while supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning experiences. Ensure children's health, safety, and well-being by responding to needs and emergencies, and assist with meals, snacks, diapering, and toileting routines. Prepare classroom materials, observe developmental milestones, and communicate progress to teachers. Work collaboratively with staff and families to promote a positive school culture and participate in professional development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- CPR and First Aid certification
Desired Qualifications
- CDA, associate degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education
- Experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or daycare setting
- Ability to work in multiple infant classrooms and adapt to changing needs
- Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day
