Job Summary
Provide nurturing, responsive care for infants ages 6 weeks through 18 months, supporting daily routines including feeding, diapering, napping, and comforting. Create age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration, sensory learning, and developmental growth while observing and documenting milestones. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom meeting New Jersey childcare licensing standards, and communicate daily with families regarding care and accomplishments. Collaborate with fellow teachers to build a positive learning environment, following all YMCA policies and health procedures. Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in an 8-hour shift from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- At least 18 years old
- Must meet all New Jersey childcare licensing requirements, including required background clearances

- Experience working with infants or in an early childhood setting
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants
