Job Summary
Support the Lead Guide in maintaining a calm, orderly, and engaging Montessori classroom while assisting children with daily routines to encourage independence. Observe children and follow guidance regarding classroom flow and individual needs, helping prepare and care for Montessori materials and the environment. Model grace, courtesy, and respectful communication, and assist with transitions, outdoor time, meals, and hygiene routines while maintaining health, safety, and licensing standards. Communicate professionally with staff and families. This full-time role offers on-the-job Montessori learning and mentorship within a supportive community that values staff well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with young children
- A genuine interest in Montessori philosophy and child-led learning
- Calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and grow within Montessori practices
- Must meet state licensing requirements (background check, CPR/First Aid, etc.)
