Job Summary
Plan and supervise daily classroom activities, ensuring the physical, social, and emotional needs of infants and toddlers are met. Create age-appropriate opportunities for curiosity and problem-solving while directing other staff to maintain an orderly environment. Prepare instructional materials, implement lesson plans, and assist children during mealtimes and cleanup. Complete required paperwork including daily notes, accident reports, and attendance records. Maintain a safe, clean classroom adhering to NAEYC guidelines and licensing regulations. Interact with parents to maintain open communication and schedule conferences. Work Monday through Friday in a full-time role with health, dental, and PTO benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 12 Core ECE Units
- must include infant/toddler units
- Prior experience working in Child Care Facility
- Up-to-date immunizations
- Strong knowledge of educational techniques and methods for teaching young children
- Patient and supportive approach to the learning process
- knowledgeable of age appropriate
- Enthusiastic and encouraging about children's developmental goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand and move around for long hours at a time
- Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds to at least waist high on a consistent basis throughout the workday
