Job Summary
Industry Executive-Government Banking-Executive Director leads a team of Bankers (typical team includes 7 to 10 direct reports) to grow and retain profitable government Banking relationships nationwide, serving government entities such as cities, counties, and school districts. Collaborates with product specialists across Treasury & Securities Services, Public Finance, Securities Trading, Asset Management and Leasing to deliver comprehensive services. Drives innovation, customer-centric strategies, and end-to-end firm delivery across lines of business while managing and developing a high-performing, diverse team in a federal/regional market. Requires extensive account-relationship management experience, strong regulatory knowledge, leadership/mentoring capabilities, and proven sales and client relationship skills; Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Typically a minimum of ten years account relationship management experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services with knowledge of the region
- Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributor
- Sales management and business development skills with proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
- Strong technology experience; digital background
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; able to effectively communicate clearly and concisely
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and control framework
- Proven leadership, management, and client relationship skills, as well as extensive industry and product knowledge, and strong transaction execution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training
- Management experience in a Commercial Bank setting, specifically leading a commercial lending sales team
- Self-directed, proactive, and creative solution and problem solving abilities: use sound judgment and navigates ambiguity to get things done
- Flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
