Job Summary
Industry Applications Development Lead for Wire and Cable Solutions at LyondellBasell. Drives development of products and solutions by gathering market intelligence from customers and value-chain players, understanding emerging needs, developing new technical solutions, and supporting commercialization of LYB polymers in new and existing applications. Leads technical direction across R&D, Industry Marketing Managers, and Sales; ensures safety policies and standards; guides cross-functional teams; translates market insights into objectives and action plans; leverages tools and processes to improve technical service, application development, and project management.
Required Qualifications
- University technical degree preference in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering or Chemistry or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 15 years of industry experience with preferred experience in the Polypropylene/ Polyethylene infrastructure and/ or building and construction industries or 15 or more years’ experience with polyolefin resins used in targeted applications
- General knowledge of High and Low Density polyethylene, Polypropylene and Catalloy resin technologies with a business/market focus is desired
- Exposure to LYB Polymers business preferred
- English, additional European language preferred
- Travel ~30% within the region
