Job Summary
As an Industry Analyst, develop and write high-quality industry reports within deadlines, collecting, interpreting and analysing macroeconomic, demographic and industry-specific data to identify key business trends and inform client decisions. Perform long-term forecasting, conduct qualitative research, and contribute to product development initiatives. Present findings to clients, participate in media interviews as required, and collaborate with Industry Team Leaders and the Head of Research. On-the-job training will be provided; the role includes opportunities to develop public speaking skills through client presentations and media exposure. Requires an undergraduate degree in economics, commerce, or business, strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to analyse and forecast economic data, familiarity with online research techniques, solid economics and financial concepts, a strong work ethic, and comfort working both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is expected, with experience in writing business research articles or reports considered advantageous, and an openness to ongoing professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- undergraduate degree in economics, commerce, business or a related field
- excellent written and verbal communication skills

- familiarity with online research techniques
- strong grasp of economics, financial terms and business concepts
- strong work ethic and ability to work independently and in a team
- interest in keeping up-to-date with economic news and current events
- confidence to liaise with the media regarding current industry trends
- intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
- experience writing business research articles, reports or other documents for a business audience is an advantage
