Job Summary

Operate, inspect, and adjust industrial wastewater treatment systems by monitoring process equipment, meters, and gauges to detect malfunctions and maintain system performance. Manage chemical dosing using mixers, pumps, and metering devices while collecting groundwater samples for testing and performing field analysis of water, soil, and air. Lead troubleshooting and emergency response efforts, including responding to alarms for next-business-day emergencies, and conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical components. Comply with all site safety requirements and permit equivalencies while recording operational data and interacting with client engineering departments and site managers. Requires a current MA Industrial Wastewater Operator's License (MA 2I or higher), two years of relevant experience, and flexible scheduling to visit multiple sites across the New England territory.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant Process and/or Water Treatment experience
  • demonstrated good critical thinking skills
  • effective communication skills
  • A Mass Grade 2I or higher Industrial Treatment License or the reciprocal equivalent
  • Current MA Industrial Wastewater Operator's License, MA 2I or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial wastewater operations
  • demonstrated the ability to succeed utilizing this knowledge base
  • Understanding of major mechanical equipment
  • able to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on those components
  • Good working knowledge of Physical and Chemical treatment processes
  • Must have a flexible work schedule
  • reliable transportation to visit multiple sites within New England territory
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Candidates must possess a valid driver's license
  • a clean driving record
  • must pass a pre-employment background check
  • must pass a drug screen

Desired Qualifications

  • additional experience with biological systems
  • OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper certificate/8-hour refresher & 10-hr OSHA Construction certification
  • OSHA 10-hour, OSHA 40-hour training with current 8 Hour Refresher Training
