Job Summary
Industrial/Warehouse Engineer responsible for designing and optimizing warehouse layouts, implementing inventory-management processes, and integrating warehouse systems with cross-functional business processes. Focus areas include KPI development and analysis, continuous improvement to reduce costs and enhance productivity, provision of technical training to warehouse staff, and support for automated systems and robotics while ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with strong proficiency in WMS/ERP, data analysis (Excel/SQL), lean methodologies, and project management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations or related engineering roles
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with process optimization and lean methodologies
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, SQL, or similar
- Familiarity with automated warehouse technologies and equipment
- Ability to design and implement efficient warehouse layouts
- Experience in inventory management and control practices
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required
- Certification in Six Sigma or similar methodologies is a plus
