Job Summary
Operate heavy-duty industrial sewing machines to sew, patch, hem, and repair industrial tarps to exact specifications. Measure, cut, and install grommets, D-rings, webbing, and reinforcement patches while performing thorough quality inspections on finished products. Source necessary hardware and materials from the marketplace to complete repairs. Submit completed work within a bi-weekly timeframe, with volume subject to seasonal demand. Drop off and pick up finished tarps at LDF Sales & Distributing locations in Wichita or Tulsa.
Required Qualifications
- Must own a heavy-duty industrial sewing machine capable of stitching heavy materials, canvas, and nylon
- Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines
- Strong attention to detail
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to accurately read measurements
- Ability to use hand tools
Desired Qualifications
- Fabricator or similar sewing experience
