Job Summary
Demonstrate safe work behaviors while preparing and customizing Caterpillar and Perkins industrial engines, generators, and auxiliary equipment per customer specifications. Troubleshoot on-site equipment, conduct root cause analysis with engineering, and deliver corrective actions. Perform pre-job hazard assessments, interpret mechanical drawings and schematics, and use testing tools to diagnose and calibrate systems. Document detailed failure analyses, submit accurate reports and time cards, and update parts lists for modifications. Interpret electrical schematics to adjust control settings and parameters on engines and control panels.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma of vocational studies in diesel or electro mechanics
- Minimum 3 years' experience with a solid understanding of diesel engine and its controls
