Job Summary
Operate industrial sewing machines and specialty equipment like hot knives and bar tack machines to manufacture tactical and protective textile products from heavy-duty materials including composite glass cloths and nylon webbing. Follow work orders, technical drawings, and instructions to produce clean, accurate stitching while performing routine maintenance and inspecting products for quality and dimensional specifications. Maintain an organized production area and collaborate with the team to meet manufacturing deadlines. Requires minimum three years of industrial sewing experience and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional industrial sewing experience
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines (single needle, walking foot, bar tack, serger, or similar equipment)
- Ability to cut and sew multiple layers of heavy-duty materials
- Ability to read and follow production instructions and sewing patterns
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with composite glass cloths, nylon webbing, hook & loop, and other textiles
- Experience operating automated cutting equipment, hot knives, or bar tack machines
- Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation
- The ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the workday
- The ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements
- The ability to safely and efficiently operate industrial manufacturing equipment
- The ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds
