Job Summary
Operate industrial sewing machines, including single needle and binding units, to assemble components and finished products according to specifications and quality standards. Perform basic sewing tasks such as straight seams, curved seams, binding, and zipper setting while conducting visual inspections of materials and finished goods. Assist with machine setup, threading, needle changes, and minor adjustments, and maintain a clean work area. Place scrap material in appropriate containers and document as required. Work under general supervision while adhering to company safety, quality, and production standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Previous sewing or manufacturing experience preferred
- Exposure to industrial sewing equipment is beneficial
- Basic math skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Attention to detail and quality
- Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with coworkers and supervisors
- Positive work attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to multitask in a production environment
