Job Summary
Industrial Sales Representative sought to manage and grow a Portland, OR-based sales territory for Northwest Pump & Equipment. Responsibilities include nurturing an active book of business, conducting in-person visits, phone and email outreach, and leveraging CRM (Dynamics) to document leads and opportunities. Develop a sales growth plan leveraging existing accounts, engage with engineering firms, participate in trade shows, and pursue new accounts. Demonstrates strong knowledge of compressed air systems or industrial pump equipment, educates customers, and expands service packages and peripheral equipment while collaborating with service technicians. Requires frequent local travel with occasional non-local travel for training and meetings; targets include achieving sales growth and maintaining customer relationships through proactive, professional communication and problem-solving.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years successful sales
- Experience selling in the industrial equipment industry
- Knowledge of compressed air systems or industrial pumps and motors
- Ability to learn new skills and product lines
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Skillful with CRM systems to maintain leads, opportunities and forecasts
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred
- Strong Math, Science or Engineering background
- Must possess and maintain a safe driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report
