Industrial Safety Specialist

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive site safety audits and PPE gap analyses to identify regulatory compliance gaps and rigging risks, directly closing safety business to meet structured scaling milestones. Deploy automated vending systems using CribMaster and Storeroom Logix platforms to manage high-velocity consumables, optimizing margins and documenting Total Cost of Ownership savings for clients. Act as a technical subject matter expert and closer for the Construction Electrical, Industrial Electrical, and Metalworking divisions, collaborating with internal sales teams to drive embedded, high-retention customer relationships. Lead monthly safety pipeline strategy sessions to coordinate audits and maximize referrals tracked via HubSpot CRM.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of successful experience in Industrial Safety product distribution or working with a Tier 1 Safety Manufacturer
- Strong market intelligence and/or existing book of relationships within the Rockford/Belvidere manufacturing, aerospace, or heavy logistics sectors
- Proven experience setting up, selling, or managing cloud-based automated inventory systems (e.g., Storeroom Logix, CribMaster, AutoCrib, Tool Boss, etc.)
- A consultative collaborator, not a 'lone wolf'
- Proven track record of winning over internal sales reps and generalist account managers to conduct joint client calls
Desired Qualifications
- QSSP (Qualified Safety Sales Professional) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) designation
- Technical competence or prior experience executing basic Sling & Rigging inspections to ASME standards
