Job Summary
Industrial Relations Lead at Sizewell C (Leiston, Suffolk): senior, operational IR lead responsible for guiding the project’s industrial relations strategy across a large, unionised workforce. Responsibilities include leading IR activity, building relationships with trade unions and contractors, advising on collective agreements and employment law, implementing SZC agreements and standards, designing IR training, monitoring workforce sentiment and risks, and actively resolving disputes. You will work closely with site leadership and senior stakeholders, influence project delivery, and contribute to maintaining a stable, productive industrial relations environment within a highly regulated infrastructure programme. Desirable qualifications include CIPD or equivalent experience; sponsorship may be possible and local UK right-to-work is required.
Required Qualifications
- Essential: Signifiant experience in industrial relations, employee relations or a similar specialist role
- Strong experience with trade unions and collective agreements
- Solid knowledge of employment law and IR best practice
- Experience in large, complex or highly regulated organisations
- Ability to work at a senior level and influence stakeholders
- Strong communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
- Hands-on approach with delivery involvement
