Job Summary
Conduct x-ray film evaluation, interpretation, and disposition of product manufacture according to standards. Perform job tasks in an efficient manner, including calibrating equipment, organizing work, and verifying calibrations to remove flash, sand, or debris from castings. Review and inspect all materials, complete routing information, and organize x-ray results for interpretation in the reading room. Demonstrate competency in CM procedures M13 & SP400, traveler processes, and scanning while learning to x-ray castings to approved techniques. Wear proper safety equipment, maintain a clean work area, and sign off on all shots. Will train on the job with Level 1/2 approval required.

- Ability to determine possible imperfections, cracks, porosity, lack of fusion and inclusions from film review
- Capable of establishing techniques and procedures and interpreting codes, standards and specifications
- Ability to understand customer requirements, our companies internal scrap challenges, rework, customer returns, the impact they have on your job and demonstrate ability to deliver quality & efficient workmanship
- Ability to Review & inspect all material being used, building self-inspection into everything you make/process
- Ability to Complete, date and sign-off on all routing information
- Ability to Perform job tasks in an efficient manner according to given standards
- Ability to Learn CM procedures M13 & SP400, traveler process, scanning and demonstrate competency to perform
- Ability to Learn all procedures and specifications needed to properly x-ray and evaluate castings per customer requirements using approved techniques to verify compliance
- Ability to X-Ray castings to approved techniques
- Ability to Organize, document x-ray results, label and file for interpretation in the reading room
- Ability to Perform and verify calibrations, learn rework to remove flash, sand, metal, defects or other debris from castings
- Ability to Serialize parts per CM procedure and route ticket and log book instructions
- Ability to Clean film processor, cassettes and work area according to maintenance procedure. Log information on required checklists
