Job Summary
Manage mechanical construction projects from bid through closeout, leading field teams and coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and project documentation. Oversee schedules, budgets, profitability, and project accounting while ensuring safety, regulatory, and contractual compliance across chemical, food and beverage, automotive, oil and gas, and manufacturing environments. Communicate effectively with clients, inspectors, and internal teams to drive safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery. Requires 5+ years of mechanical construction experience, a bachelor's degree, and 15–20% regional travel. Based in Kansas City.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical construction project management experience in industrial settings
- High school diploma/GED plus a bachelor's degree in construction or mechanical engineering, 5+ years of mechanical trade experience, or equivalent combination
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of contracts, budgeting, safety, and industrial regulatory requirements
- 15–20% regional travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar tools
- Knowledge of industrial codes, OSHA regulations, HVAC, plumbing, piping, and process systems
- PMP or similar project management certification
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar industrial mechanical projects
- Proven leadership of field crews and multiple subcontractors
