Job Summary
Industrial Plant Janitor position based in Houston, TX. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across production floors, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and exterior grounds. Perform routine cleaning including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces, restocking supplies, and disposing of trash; operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and pressure washers; monitor and report supply needs; follow proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials; adhere to OSHA and company safety policies and use PPE; capable of lifting up to 60 pounds and standing for long periods; requires a high school diploma or GED and prior janitorial/industrial cleaning experience; ability to work independently and follow verbal or written instructions; available for occasional overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial experience in an industrial or commercial setting
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
- Familiarity with basic cleaning equipment and chemical handling procedures
- Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial plant environments
- Knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA standards
