Job Summary
Layout, fit, and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy pressure piping systems using GTAW, SMAW, and GMAW processes to meet non-destructive testing standards. Fabricate heavy structural steel frames, bases, and supports for modular skid packages, operating shop equipment safely. Perform mechanical assembly of completed modular skids by mounting valves, actuators, and integrating process instrumentation according to engineering schematics. Requires 3–5+ years of industrial pipe welding experience and ASME Section IX certification.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of industrial pipe welding and fitting experience (field or shop fabrication)
- Ability to pass standard pipe welding certifications (e.g., ASME Section IX, 6G position)
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting isometric drawings, structural blueprints, and P&IDs
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, precision measuring skills, and comfort working with pneumatic, hydraulic, or automated valve assemblies
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in various physical positions (stooping, kneeling, reaching)
- Ability to operate overhead cranes or forklifts safely
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with modular skid building or process equipment manufacturing
- Previous structural AWS D1.1 certification
