Job Summary
Industrial Painter responsible for preparation, maintenance of paint coatings, spray booth equipment, and surface preparation (sanding, priming, painting machine parts) to ensure proper adhesion of coatings suited for forestry industry; works with spray equipment, disassembles/reassembles sprayers, ensures waste labeling and disposal, operates overhead cranes, and collaborates with production team to meet goals while adhering to safety protocols and PPE.
Required Qualifications
- Exposure to apprenticeship programs, classroom instruction or industrial painting experience is an asset
- Familiarity with spray guns, sanders and other industrial painting tools
- Ability to adapt to a changing work environment and handle multiple demands
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and bend
- Knowledge of different coatings and their properties
- Exposure to hazardous materials and working in semi-enclosed spaces
- Attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
- Safety protocols and PPE adherence
