Job Summary
Operates paint equipment to mix and apply industrial paint, measures thickness, and inspects final products for conformance. Masks skids for sandblasting, cleans and prepares surfaces, and packages them for shipping. Performs rigging techniques and operates forklifts and overhead cranes to transfer materials throughout the shop. Conducts daily maintenance and minor repairs on painting equipment. Requires minimum two years of industrial painting or sandblasting experience, valid forklift certification, and own transportation, as the facility is not accessible by public transit. Afternoon shift with overtime opportunities available for qualified local candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Must be local to the Calgary area or within commuting distance
- Must have own transportation
- Must have CSA approved safety boots
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
- Minimum 2 years' experience painting and/or sandblasting in an industrial capacity
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with water based, epoxy paint and primer mixing requirements
- Previous experience with rigging and overhead cranes
- Valid forklift certification
