Job Summary
Prepare metal for painting by sanding spatter, rust, and oil, then apply coatings using correct equipment settings and adjustments. Operate sprayers, Lull, Skid Loaders, and Fork Lifts while performing daily maintenance routines and inspecting jobs for quality issues like runs or missed areas. Clean paint booths, change filters, organize trailers, and coordinate paperwork flow. Assist with general shop duties including drilling, grinding, and material handling up to 75 lbs. Maintain strict safety compliance with respirator fit testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to use a sprayer
- Must be able to work in a paint booth
- Ability to use hand and/or power tools and equipment
- Must know how to operate a Lull
- Must know how to operate a Skid Loader
- Must know how to operate a Fork Lift
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Must have some experience in industrial painting
- Applicants must be able to walk and stand on feet for extended period of time
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to crawl on hands and knees
- Must be able to climb a ladder
- Must be able to work long hours
- Required to wear a respirator
- Must be able to pass a medical qualification
- Must be able to pass a respirator fit test
