Industrial Painter - Night Shift

Job Summary

Select and mix paint to accurately spray finish parts while wearing appropriate airline hoods and full suits. Maintain and document the maintenance of personal protective equipment, keep the paint booth operational, and properly collect and dispose of paint media according to applicable rules and regulations. Clean spraying equipment and brushes with appropriate chemicals, document paint usage, and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions. Attend Quality Manual Standards Training and apply quality standards accordingly while observing safety and security procedures. Report potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment and materials properly. Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous industrial painting experience
  • Experience using Microsoft office applications
  • Ability to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to perform basic math computation such as add subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints and customer specifications
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
  • Must intermittently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and squat to access work areas, perform tasks, and lift items
  • Must have natural or corrected near vision
  • Must have close vision
  • Must have color vision
  • Must have ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to use hands to grasp handle
  • Must use of fingers to engage trigger mechanism or feel
  • Must reach with hands and arms
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be regularly exposed to fumes
  • Must be regularly exposed to building temperature fluctuation
  • Must be regularly exposed to dust
  • Must be regularly exposed to chemicals
  • Must be regularly exposed to odors
  • Must be regularly exposed to low to moderate levels of noise
  • Must be able to use Respirators
  • Must use safety glasses
  • Must be able to use equipment and materials properly
  • Must observe safety and security procedures
  • Must report potentially unsafe conditions
  • Must report to work consistently on time
  • Must work an 8-hour shift
  • Must be available for night shift 11pm - 7am
  • Must be able to wear appropriate airline hood and full suit
  • Must be able to maintain and document maintenance of personal protective equipment
  • Must be able to maintain paint booth
  • Must be able to document paint usage
  • Must be able to properly collect and dispose of paint media to applicable rules and regulations
  • Must be able to clean spraying equipment and brushes with appropriate chemicals
  • Must attend Quality Manual Standards Training
  • Must apply Quality Standards accordingly
  • Must be able to access items subject to U.S. export-control laws
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background screening
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening (including cannabis)

Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Previous industrial painting experience, preferred
