Job Summary
Industrial Painter/Loader on 2nd shift responsible for painting structural steel and assisting with loading/unloading steel using an overhead crane. Duties include prepping and painting structural steel, moving steel with an overhead crane, operating a forklift as needed, rigging materials, loading/unloading trailers, and performing related fabrication-shop support tasks. Requirements include painting experience with paint sprayers, overhead crane experience, ability to wear a respirator, familiarity with AISC standards, basic math skills, and the ability to work in a hot/cold environment, stand for up to 10 hours, and multitask in a fast-paced setting. Required Qualifications
- Experience painting and using paint sprayers
- Experience with overhead crane
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Overhead crane experience preferred in a steel shop
- Capable of moving large 30 ft pieces of steel with an overhead crane
- Experienced with AISC standards and able to fill out painting forms and reports
- Basic math skills
- Ability to tolerate hot/cold environments
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
- Organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
