Job Summary
Diagnose mechanical equipment failures, dismantle and assemble machine parts for repairs, and calibrate alignment using specialized tools. Analyze machine errors with operators to resolve issues, apply preventative maintenance practices, and perform corrective actions or recommendations. Utilize welding and brazing tools to repair defective parts, review complex machinery manuals, and strictly adhere to all health and safety policies. Requires minimum 4 years machinery experience, 3 years millwrighting, and a Millwright certificate. Based in Scarborough, Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years' experience with machinery and construction equipment
- Minimum 3 years' Millwrighting experience
- Millwright certificate or Apprenticeship
- Good familiarity with different types of manufacturing equipment, including milling machines, lathes, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Strong hand-eye coordination and flexibility using tools
- Superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Operating with a sense of urgency and consistently delivering results
- Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Self-directed with a commitment to achieving objectives in a time-sensitive environment
- Capable of safely lifting up to 60lbs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to simplify complex problems, conduct thorough analyses, and provide clear recommendations
