Job Summary
Industrial Millwright responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing setting. Duties include routine and preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns, diagnosing mechanical issues, dismantling and replacing defective parts, fabricating parts with grinders and welders, troubleshooting to identify root causes, maintaining repair records and CMMS updates, contributing to equipment upgrades and process improvements, sourcing parts, and supporting decommissioning/recommissioning of machinery. Requires post-secondary Industrial Millwright education with a Journeyman license (433A) and 5+ years of experience; proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office; strong electrical, welding, and mechanical skills; ability to work independently on improvement projects. Overtime and on-call responsibilities are noted. This role is based at Albarrie Canada Limited in Barrie, Ontario and involves on-site maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of post-secondary education in Industrial Millwright Licensed Millwright (433A)
- 5+ years’ experience working within an Industrial Millwright role, manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to use Microsoft Office tools and CMMS systems
- Advanced knowledge of basic electrical needs, welding and mechanical aspects of manufacturing machinery
- Continual improvement focused and ability to work independently on improvement projects
