Job Summary
Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and facility equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repair actions for conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems. Read blueprints and technical documentation, use precision measuring tools, and complete work orders in the CMMS. Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency calls, collaborate with electricians and controls technicians, and follow OSHA safety procedures including lockout/tagout. Maintain a clean work area and communicate repair status to supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Previous industrial mechanical maintenance experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work the required Tuesday–Saturday overnight schedule
- Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and automated equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled maintenance team
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience with conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, and mechanical drives
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in automotive manufacturing, heavy industrial, or high-volume manufacturing
- Technical or mechanical training
- Experience with equipment alignment and precision mechanical maintenance
