Job Summary
Operate and maintain can lines, perform and document quality checks and measurements with supervisory assistance only in unusual problems. Take full responsibility for product quality and line efficiency. Diagnose mechanical and quality problems, determine repairs, and restore equipment to service with minimum delay. Handle pallets, tooling, barrels, boxes and cartons as required. Record product and equipment inspections to ensure quality production. Maintain clean, orderly work area and comply with safety regulations. Work closely with supervisors and fellow employees on improvement teams to implement safety, quality, productivity, and cost-control improvements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman Mechanic
- 2+ years as an Industrial Mechanic in a manufacturing environment
