Job Summary
Industrial Mechanic III needed to maintain and repair high-speed industrial machinery in a production environment. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on machinery, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems; fabricating repair parts with machine shop tools; providing maintenance recommendations to improve reliability; ensuring safety with PPE and lock-out/tag-out procedures; operating a forklift (certification required); performing basic facility repairs (plumbing, lighting, HVAC); and coordinating repairs with the Maintenance Manager, engineering, and production teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in an industrial/manufacturing or production environment
- Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training preferred (or combination of education and experience)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics/technical diagrams
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs
- Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instruments/tools as needed
- Ability to operate a forklift (certification required)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork in coordinating with maintenance manager, engineering, and production teams
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, work around moving machinery and in loud environments
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with department programs and touchscreens
